We first heard about the 48 hour Age of Empires online beta last week and have just received word that Microsoft gaming studios have opened up a streamlined registration for the event. You’ll have to be quick though because it starts today and runs through until Saturday 7^th May.

As it’s an online beta Microsoft will give you access to Age of Empires online with your Windows Live ID which will allow you to download the beta straight away. To take part simply visit http://gamesforwindows.com/ageofempiresonlinebeta and follow the onscreen prompts.
