The iPhone 4 is nominated for four awards, including the Phone of the Year category, where it faces off against other top smartphones like the HTC Sensation and the powerful Samsung Galaxy S II.

The Nintendo 3DS is also nominated for four awards, including the Gaming Gadget of the Year, where it goes up against Sony PlayStation’s Move, Apple’s iPad 2, Microsoft Xbox 360’s Kinect and Alienware M17x.

Motorola’s Atrix is nominated for the Innovation of the Year award. The Atrix, which is considered as the “laptop killer,” held the top spot at the T3 Hot 100 earlier this year.

T3.com’s Editor Kieran Alger said, “We’ve seen an amazing response to the T3 Gadget Awards for 2011. Well over 350,000 user votes have been cast to help find the products, brands and personalities that have captured the imagination since October last year. The public vote and the competition to grab a place in the final has been closer than ever. It’s testament to the depth and breadth of innovation we’ve seen over the past nine months.”

The T3 Gadget Awards 2011 will be held at Old Billingsgate in London on October 10. Visit the T3 Gadget Awards website for more information.
