Earlier today Apple’s head honcho Steve Jobs unveiled the brand spanking new iPad 2 to the entire world confirming a great deal of the rumours that have leaked over the past few months including the fact that the release date would be very close to the event.
UK residents will be able to get hold of the iPad 2 on 25th March, just 23 days away – interestingly prices will remain the same as the current iPad (which has subsequently had its price slashed to £349).
US residents will be a little luckier as they will only have to wait until next Friday, the 11th March will also be the day iOS 4.3 rolls out on the iPhone 3GS, iPad and iPhone 4 – it will be pre-loaded on the iPad 2.
There will be three different options for each of the Wi-Fi and 3G models, an entry level 16GB (which stays at $499), 32GB and range topping 64GB. All of the devices will benefit from a slimmer and lighter design, nippy dual core processor capable of 9x the processing power of the iPad, Dual cameras and new magnetic smart covers.
As predicted Apple will supply all models in either classic black or white – this raises hope for an Apple iPhone 5 too.
Did Apple deliver the specs you wanted today?
Yeah, they delivered well and I will certainly buy this! There is ONE tiny problem and that is Flash Support but most websites have HTML5 now and I can just go on SkyFire WebBrowser to watch Flash videos.
Well Done Apple.
