Apple iPad 2 Rumoured Facetime and Retina Display Screen

When it comes to Apple, and in particular the iPad 2, rumours have been widespread and numerous and it seems that even more are circulating today. However these rumours are from a solid source, China’s Economic Daily News was the first media agency to leak accurate information on the current iPad.

According to the source the Apple iPad 2 will feature two cameras, one on the back and one on the front – for Face time. It will also have a retina display screen and bow to peer-pressure to include a very welcome USB port.

The article speculated that the Second generation iPad will also have a new type of 7 inch touch screen; sadly they did not delve any deeper with details. However two other interesting features include a new 3 way axis gyroscope making movement based games much more accurate.

At this time it’s still unclear on when the iPad 2 will be released but if we had to give an educated guess we would put it in early 2011 (April to May), this is also around the same time that Blackberry is likely to launch their Playbook tablet. This could spark off the 2011 tablet wars much like the current one between the iPad and Samsung Galaxy Tablet.

Please please please keep the screen size the same, the iPad is the perfect size. Really don't see why they would reduce it seeing as Steve Jobs has come out and said that the blackberry playbook is too small I think that RIM are trying to now go for a slightly different Market. Apple should stick to the size of the 1st iPad which they clearly have a firm hold on, a 7 in device is clearly very different.
