Our Call of Duty: Black Ops review as well as countless other player reviews across the internet has shown that the game is awesome despite glitches and bugs – if only Treyarch would rush out a patch, well today they did just that for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.

The patch has updated the multiplayer functions allowing players to precisely count kills, deaths and assists. They have also fixed issues that caused connection issues during multiplayer games, a frustrating and sometimes embarrassing occurrence.
Treyarch thanked gamers through the CoD forums yesterday by saying “Thank you for helping us to identify the various connectivity issues you have been experiencing, We have fixed many of the problems you have reported and are currently testing those fixes in anticipation of releasing an update.”
At this stage only the PS3 and Xbox 360 has been patched with Treyarch promising a fix for the Wii version of the game within the next couple of weeks. It’s unclear at this stage whether all of the minor glitches have been fixed and Treyarch request users to continue to inform them on their forums – they are perfectionists after all.
Have you updated your version with the latest patch yet? If so please let us know if all the problems have been fixed.
I still have mulit-player disconnect issues, especially when playing in parties wtih friends. I often get disconnected after the completion of a game. Still happening even after the fix. This really sucks, I spend as much time reconnecting as I do playing.
Bugs are still in Single player. Enemy AI you can't kill because you've got to them too fast, Ai that won't let you progress to next part because you've done something in the wrong order. Annoying.
UM… NO still getting disconnected, still getting spawned outside beside an enemy who shoots me in the back or under a chopper gunner, the sound needs fixed, the guns take half a mag to do any damage and the graphics are something like the ps2… I could go on
The issues would take more than a patch, it would take a new dvd! (and what about the people who dont use xbox live, how do they get these patches?)

Anyone else have a hard time getting into the core, barebones, etc when you first log in. It seems to take 4-5 minutes before I can actually select anything. The disconnects are ridiculous. Spend more time in the lobby than playing.
There seems to be a lot of host advantage and laving. People kill me even though I get the drop on them and shot them first. The spawning is horrible. I've never seen anything like it. I like the game but if this keeps I'm getting rid of it.
I love the game when not being spawned in front of enemies, unfortunately this happens an awful lot tho. especially in maps like nuke town which is just mental. we had issues getting online as a team of six for a while but last 4 days we have been straight into games. fix the spawning and also the host advantage
Still having issues(PS3)…even after the update… losing conection in multplayer with or without party….party constantly getting seperated….playercard showing incorrect level..when I go to mute players in pregame lobby…I loose connection ? Choppy game play?….I understand SOME of this MAY be due to my ISP……but really !!!
When the game works…Its awsome……But Cmon Treyarc (and Sony)…I really want to like this game…..Please get it together….
The connection issues have not been solved even after the patch, still loose connection after each game and have to try and get matched again, cannot create parties with friends, lag in game is horrible, at times I will begin shooting when player is facing opposite dirrection and will get killed, then the killcam will show that I never shot. Not very happy with Treyarc, Infinity Ward did a much better job and managed the Multiplayer much better. I enjoy playing the game but if this continues I will never buy another game made by Treyarc.

Wow this game is really disappointing in multiplayer. Seems like every time I'm winning the game disconnects. Not to mention the lag when it does play. How sad to take a great idea for some of the new game modes and simply ruin it by not following through with good gameplay. I've heard they may start dedicated servers for the game, but at a price!!! Are you fucking kidding me??? Unless they actually come up with a patch to fix this shit, your gonna see a lot of used copies at game stop for 49 bucks. A good game is only as strong as it's weakest issues and that is connectivety. The frustration from finally having a great game and then bam disconnected from host has made me put the controller down for now.
Love the ps3 but the connection issues pissing me off so much, gone out n bought a 360 still a couple of disconnects but nothin like psnetwork need it sortin out Sony
I received call of duty Black ops as a christmas present. I started playing the game in campaign mode on boxing day. It played fine for about twenty minutes then it got to a certain stage in the game where it freezes and will play no further. I am extremely disappointed in what should have been a cracking game.

once you blow up the tank and you have to help Woods push the door open—the screen goes completely black—-there is sound—and you can shot—but you cant see a darn thing—is there a trick? several scenes back there is a flashlight on a crate—but you cant pick it up—so what gives???—can I get my money back….I mean this is a 60.00 game after all? and no I dont play live—-its on my xbox 360
@ Donnelly…..my game is doing exactly the same thing….when I push the door open helping woods, screen goes black….has audio, but I cannot get anywhere.

I do not think this is normal operation, as many people are complaining about this exact situation with no way to get out of it.
I found a solution to this issue…not a fix but a way to get around it.
Save the game prior to helping woods push the door open….then instead of holding the X button down to push the door, simply just tap the X button a few times and step back. Someone on another forum suggested this and it worked for me just fine and i was able to continue the mission.
Fixed?? What a joke. Thought it was my Time Warner cable, called them, they say, not our responsibility or problem! Buy Belkin n6oo "Gamer " router to replace "working linksys wireless router" before xbox Christmas present, thinking that would be the issue. WRONG!!! Return the Belkin wireless router for simple network switch(wired configuration), and same thing happens. Wasted hours of time screwing with this nightmare to get xbox live to work and the same ol BS, DISCONNECTING evry 5-20 mins. I will give Treyarch / XBOX until Jan.31 st, 2011 to fix this or evrything goes back!! $500 is waaaaaaay to much fricken $$$ to spend to have this happen ! Very frustrated along with my kids, they are blaming me, like I screwed up the game. Thanks Treyarch / XBOX !!
I really am contemplating getting rid of all my Treyarch games sick and tired of getting ripped off by you guys what set me over the edge is the fact that I will have to buy zombie maps for Black Ops that I have already purchased for WAW! You guys are F'in CROOKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
