Games Of The Month February 2010
February 4, 2010
As 2010 gets into motion the video game release schedules are starting to look a little more packed and February is going to see some big name updates as well as some brand new franchises getting their first chance at success.
Dante’s Inferno
Perhaps the first ever game to be based on a classic poem, Dante’s Inferno is going to be a bloody trip into the bowels of hell itself. Taking more than a little inspiration from the God of War series, you will be able to hack and slash your way through various demons and devils in a suitably violent portrayal of the underworld. Blu Rays Released January 2010
January 2, 2010
If you have been gifted with a Blu-Ray player this Christmas then you might want to buy some top-notch releases to enjoy in high definition. These are some of the films that are heading to the format in January 2010.
The Taking of Pelham 123
This is a breathless thriller which is rarely seen in today’s fantasy-obsessed movie market. Remade from a classic, this sees Tony Scott behind the camera and the anti very much upped. John Travolta plays a ruthless villain who hijacks a New York subway train and Denzel Washington is the average-Joe announcer who ends up negotiating the release of the hostages. Despite its generic scripting and predictable plot, the action set pieces are executed with confidence and speed. More January release blu ray
Games Of The Month January 2010
January 1, 2010
As the Christmas period is over and January 2010 begins you might think that the video game industry would slow down a little having spent all of its big releases in the run up to the festive season. However, if you check out the list of all the great games that are set to be released this month you might change your mind.
Bayonetta
This is a very exciting release for fans of violence, action and supernatural witches with guns. Created by the team behind the hugely popular Devil May Cry series, Bayonetta follows the trials and tribulations of a sexy demon-slayer as she battles the forces of evil with every conceivable weapon. Expect to see big boss battles, massive blades, incredible special moves and more than a little bare skin. A thoroughly Japanese game that will certainly satisfy fans of Manga and action. Bayonetta will be hitting the PS3 and the Xbox 360 in January. More January 2010 Games

Blu-Rays Of The Month December 2009
December 11, 2009
December is often the month when the summer’s big blockbusters finally come to the small screen and what better way to enjoy the cinematic delights they hold than in high definition on the Blu-Ray format? Here are the best films getting released before Christmas 2009.
Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen
It is arguable that unless you are going to see this film in high definition you probably should not bother getting it at all. This is largely because most of the action is so frenetic that it is impossible to work out just what is going on without having the crisp picture and high refresh rate afforded by the Blu-Ray version. In terms of plot, this is a bit of a mess, but if you are looking for a good amount of action and drama for your money then you will be hard pressed to find something more suitable.
Games Of The Month December 2009
December 1, 2009
As Christmas approaches and thoughts turn to what to do during the dark days after the food-induced comas have worn off, most will turn to video games in order to stave off the boredom. The line up of games released before the festive season is always excellent, so let us dive straight into the fun and frolics.
Tony Hawk Ride
Since this is the billionth game in a slowly declining series, its developers have chosen to take a very different approach to what has traditionally been an arcade-style affair. They’ve ditched the ridiculous scores, silly storylines and outlandish list of tricks in favour of a much more ‘realistic’ experience. That means the game now comes with a massive plastic skateboard controller, which you use to wirelessly guide your extreme athlete around the cut down list of courses. The control scheme is less than perfect and the learning curve is steep, although those looking for a slightly more authentic skating game may well find a lot to like if they can swallow the inflated price tag.
