For this reason we have listed here some of the top features to help you decide. Size The first question you have to ask yourself is how much room you have to fit it into, and then whether a giant screen will fit in with the rest of the room or not. You might hear it said that the really big HDTV screens give a poorer quality image than smaller ones. This isn’t strictly true, but...
The recent fuss over the Nintendo 3DS usage warnings has opened up a bit of a debate over the dangers, or otherwise, of playing 3D games on the Japanese made device. While far from Japan, in Peterborough to be exact, a different but related story about the dangers of viewing 3D movies proved to be a false alarm. With the Nintendo machine presumably opening up the market for a wave of 3D gaming devices, and with more 3D television sets, movies and television series being produced all the time, it is clear that this is an issue which is...
CES is full of huge TV’s, most featuring 3D, we wrote about the Mitsubishi 92 inch 3D behemoth earlier because it has been causing quite a stir. The other hot news on the HDTV front came from Vizio. They are bringing out two different 21:9 ratio sets this year. One of these wide models is 50 inches and the other is even bigger at 58 inches. That might sound too impressive after we looked at the 92 inch model above but it is still more than enough screen for more people I would think. The reason why many people might be tempted by these...

LG is showcasing the platform at...
Google is hoping that its Internet TV technology will really take off and propel the whole Internet TV potential and at an event yesterday, Sony announced the release of 4 Internet TVs and a Blu Ray player that all have Google’s Internet TV included in them. The devices will be available in the US at the end of this month but unfortunately don’t look likely to be released in the UK until 2011 but they do represent the first fully Internet enabled devices of their kind rather than the more limited options that have previously...
There was a lot of exciting TV’s on show at IFA 2010, some had interesting features and all manufactures went big with 3D but they were all shown up by LG’s new and innovative LEX8 Nano LED TV. The new TV utilizes a brand new kind of LCD panel; the LEX8 has an ultra thin layer in front of the direct LED back lighting. The neat thing here is the film is covered in microscopic holes that allow light to escape through resulting in brighter pictures and more vivid colour. I spoke with George Mead of LG about the TV and he explained how...
LG wowed the gadget world when they launched their 15 inch OLED TV last year and the trend continued at this years trade fair IFA in Berlin. We were lucky enough to attend and take a detailed look at a prototype model of LG’s brand new 31 inch OLED and spoke with George Mead about the details surrounding the future of TV display. From the front the 31 inch oled looks like a very crisp photograph that has been professionally framed and then mounted flush on the wall. Seriously this photograph proves our point, it looks almost photo shopped...
