I just one day, over 1,300 emails were sent asking where the unusual toy can be purchased.

Air Swimmers are remote-controlled flying balloons that come in two kinds: the flying clownfish and the flying shark. These flying toys are simple to control and these can even maneuver even the tightest of spaces.

DERELIQ Designs is a design studio that is run by a group of UC Berkley students. These shot glasses are perfect in every detail, from the tiny auto-to-manual focus switch to the focus ring ridges. These shot glasses are nice and is made from heavy ceramic so it feels really solid in your hands. The shot glasses are accurate recreations of the Canon EF 24 – 105 mm lens.

A software development kit (SDK) will be available at the product’s release, giving developers the chance to create applications for their Sifteo cubes. Hobbyist developers, interface designers and game developers can use the SDK to build new interactions that bridge digital content and physical objects. Their creations can be shared at the Sifteo store.

A couple of scientists from NASA working on the Juno space mission thought that it would be fun to put some Lego minifigs on the satellite before its launch. Lego, meanwhile, liked the idea and spent around $15,000 carving 1.5 inch tall minifigs, which are made from solid blocks of aluminum, to make sure they don’t cause an accidental crash to Jupiter.

NASA and Lego’s secret plan was only revealed today, two days before the mission.

The Juno spacecraft is expected to launch on Friday on a five-year mission to the solar system’s largest planet. Scientists aim to do a thorough analysis of the planet’s composition and hope to get answers on how the Earth and the other planets came to be.

The three minifig models are the same size as the normal Lego models you have at home. The first model is the Roman god Jupiter, a bearded man that holds a lightning bolt, while the second one is Jupiter’s sister and wife, Juno, holding a large magnifying glass. The third minifig is Galileo Galilei, the father of astronomy, who holds a telescope in one hand and a model of the planet Jupiter in the other.

The Juno spacecraft is set to arrive in Jupiter in 2016, where it will orbit the gas giant for a year. Before radiation destroys the probe, it will have its final dive into Jupiter’s atmosphere.

Designer Dror Peleg designed a bike that looks like a normal bike made from large chunks of plastic called ‘Frii.’ Peleg made use of the injection molding technology, which are being used in a number of products today. Unlike conventional bikes, the Frii environmentally-friendly, as it is made from recycled materials, and the designer specifically created this bike to keep the surroundings clean and green.

Compared to the construction process of a conventional metal bike, the Frii’s is more accessible and less labor-intensive. It can be customized to whatever the user wants.

The Frii bike has 20-inch wheels that are “flat tire”-proof because the material used for making the bike has been inserted over the wheels. The bike’s bearings have been placed into the mold before plastic is injected, so it will be studier.

Riding a conventional bicycle already helps the environment by not emitting carbon, but a bike made from recycled materials? That’s more than what we asked for.

The designer, Dror Peleg, is a student from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Israel.

In a press release by LEGO, the new Marvel collection will focus on three Marvel franchises – the X-Men, The Avengers and Spiderman. The Avengers movie line includes The Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America, Hawkeye, Thor, Loki and Black Widow. The X-men line includes minifig versions of Magneto, Wolverine, Nick Fury and Deadpool, while the Spiderman collection includes Spiderman and Doctor Octopus.

“Our partnership with Marvel helps us continue to deliver some of the best and most constructible Super Hero stories of all time,” said Jill Wilfert, LEGO Group’s vice president for licensing and entertainment. “We’re thrilled to partner with Marvel to create creative, constructive play sets for builders, fans and collectors alike.”

In a separate press release, DC Entertainment with Warner Bros. and LEGO announced their partnership to launch a line of LEDO DC Universe SUPER HEROES. The new line of minifigs will include Batman, Bruce Wayne, Catwoman, Robin, The Joker, Two Face, The Riddler, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, Bane, Superman, Lex Luthor and Wonder Woman.

“Given the fan enthusiasm for previous LEGO BATMAN collections, we couldn’t be more thrilled to continue the build-and-play adventures with new LEGO BATMAN play sets and the addition of other DC Comics properties,” said Wilfert. “This partnership gives builders a chance to recreate the characters, vehicles and worlds of some of the most iconic Super Heroes, so they can relive the action and even customize it – a proven and winning formula in LEGO construction.”

The Marvel LEGO collection will be released in summer 2012, just in time for the screening of the highly-anticipated film The Avengers. The DC Comics line of LEGO minifigures will be launched in January 2012.

According to Panjiva, a company that tracks shipments to the US, Angry Birds-related goods have increased 500 percent in the last five months.

Talking about how Angry Birds products will be hot sellers, Panjuva CEO Josh Green said, “I have to say it could be a pretty good bet.”

Toy maker Mattel released its Angry Birds Knock On Wood game in May and it was instantly a hit. The company said it had to increase its production to meet the game’s increasing demands.

“I was introduced to the Angry Birds by colleagues of mine. Then I learned that my nine-year old nephew is already a fan,” said Green. “This is a brand whose popularity cuts across all ages.”

The game involves building a structure that is drawn on the “Mission Cards,” which lists number and kinds of birds to be used and the components needed to build the pig-infested structure. Players can claim points by knocking down all the pigs by using a catapult that launches the birds. The points you get depends on the difficulty of the missions.

The designers of the Angry Birds game created a fun game that keeps the original theme intact. Fans of the game series will enjoy playing this with their friends.

Last year, Cochrane released a Youtube video of his robot band The Bit-52′s cover version of B52′s Rock Lobster. In the video’s page, he said that the “guitar, keyboard, cow bell, cymbal and tambourine are all controlled by various types of push/pull solenoinds.” He also said that these solenoids are powered by ULN2803 darlington drivers and “everything is controlled by two PIC16F84A microcontrollers.”

Now, he renamed the band ‘End of Life’, or EOL for short. The robot band is made up of an electric guitar, bass and snare drums, a cello, and a scanner. All of these were fitted with mechanics and were programmed to play the gothic anthem perfectly.

When talking about how he came up with the idea, he said: “Initially I was working on my own version of Mad World and I did complete it however the robot cello didn’t work out because the sound of the solenoids and stepper motor was drowning out the song. So I scrapped the project altogether. One night I was working on the cello and the stepper motor started to jitter almost ripping the cello string and bow apart. As I was jumping over to the power switch I noticed that the jittery sound reminded me of a song. That song turned out to be The Beautiful People by Marilyn Manson.”

“I programmed a small part for the Cello and it sounded great. Who would have ever though to use a cello in that song? Two months later, my video was complete.”
