“Mac” and “gaming” are two terms that you don’t often hear or use in a sentence, but as Macs gain popularity, developers are now looking at them to be the next big thing in gaming. Now, Feral Interactive has announced that Deus Ex: Human Revolution, which was released for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and the PC, is now headed to the Mac platform.
UK-based Feral Interactive has been bringing big games to the Mac platform since 1996. It has brought Borderlands, BioShock, Rome: Total War, Sid Meier’s Pirates, Lego Star Wars and numerous other games to its name, and is one of the key parts of gaming on the Mac platform.
“Deus Ex: Human Revolution presents the player with truly meaningful decisions in a unique and captivating game world.” said Managing Director of Feral Interactive David Stephen. “The degree of freedom it offers is extraordinary.”
Tha game takes place in 2027, where the player controls Adam Jensen, a former SWAT commander, who has undergone cybernetic augmentations after an attack by terrorists on Sarif Industries. Jensen works in Sarif as a security chief.
To find the people responsible for the attack, players must explore the potential of Jensen’s augmented body. Players can approach every situation in different ways, either by stealth, combat, social or hacking.
A precise release date, pricing and system requirements have not yet been announced by Feral Interactive, but the game is promised to be released in winter. A number of Mac games require a higher specifications that those released for PCs, so if you are one who owns an older Mac and want to play the game, you should wait until later this year to know the system requirements.
