After we found an awesome Doctor Who PC case last week at the gadget show live we just had to go out and find some more gadgets made in honour of the world’s most famous Dr. Thankfully we didn’t have to look far as we discovered this official TARDIS USB hub and have to say it would look cool on any desktop.
Like last weeks PC case this TARDIS USB hub has been given the nod by the BBC, despite looking cool with a flashing beacon on top of the police box it actually serves a practical purpose too by adding four additional USB slots (well three really as you have to plug it into an existing port to link it to your PC, laptop or Mac).
When you plug in a USB device the T.A.R.D.I.S lights up and omits the traditional sounds, if aesthetics are your preference you can simply switch off the sounds via a strategically placed on/off switch. The whole thing measures a space friendly 11cm x 6cm x 6cm meaning it lives up to being smaller on the outside than inside.
The only problem we can see with this Dr. Who gizmo is that you would waste a lot of the day plugging and unplugging USB devices so you could make the TARDIS work. It’s available from Amazon, Firebox and Play.com.
What do you think of this official Doctor Who USB hub?
You can also trigger the TARDIS noise by pressing the white "Free for use of public" panel in the front, to save you having to plug something in to do it.
Where is a reliable place to purchase one of these from?
