Snack company Doritos has crossed over to the gaming world to entertain fans with its first game called ‘Dip Desperado’. Dip Desperado is a multi-platform game created using the Corona SDK technology for a fun, seamless user experience. The game is available to play on Facebook, and can be downloaded for free at Apple’s App Store and the Android Market.

The game was designed by ACNE Production (not to be confused with Looney Tunes’ ACME Corporation), makers of the Pizza Boy app.

Markus Forsberg, creative director of ACNE Production, said: “We are very excited about this game! Doritos Dip Desperado delivers superb gameplay to both new and experienced players. It’s a competitive game where skill means a higher score, so you have to practice to improve. At the same time, it never gets repetitive, the game generates new levels as you play so it’s always kept new and fresh.”

In the game, players start by flicking a Doritos chip and letting it fly through obstacles like insects and roadblocks. The aim of the game is to collect points and reveal secret bonuses.

The game is part of Doritos’s Dip Desperado campaign, which features Mexico’s Chip Flick Champion Esteban Ortega.

Players can share their scores with their friends on Facebook and can win a prize if they get the highest score in the leader board.

Dip Desperado players can also win real prizes, Doritos said players can win “an exciting holiday to Universal Orlando Resort in Florida, a Silverstone driving experience from Virgin Experience Days, cinema tickets, deluxe photo shoot or the latest Xbox, or PlayStation & Nintendo Wii games from the EA Store (now Origin).”
