Dyson DC49; a quiet cleaner that’s powered by Airblade Technology

There are many reasons for choosing a Dyson vacuum cleaner and the new DC49 model gives us a new one to consider. The incredibly compact design of this machine means that it is ideal for anyone who doesn’t much storage space or who doesn’t fancy moving a big vacuum cleaner around the house.

In terms of size, the Dyson DC49’s footprint isn’t much bigger than an A4 sheet of paper. Part of the reason that it can be made so small is that it is built around one of the smallest fully integrated motors around. This is the first ever Dyson mains powered cleaner to come with a Dyson digital motor inside it. In fact, it is the same motor which the firm uses in their range of Airblade hand dryers.

Light and Powerful

As well as being so small, the Dyson DC49 is also incredibly light. It weighs in at 2.7 kg, with the powerful digital motor inside it taking up just 670g of that overall weight. This is around half the weight you would expect a traditional AC motor to be. However, the compact proportions and lightness of the DC49 don’t take away from its power, Dyson claims it gives the sort of performance needed to keep any home clean.

Another important factor in any vacuum cleaner is the noise it generates. In this model the acoustic engineering work on it includes a double cyclone skin and extra casing. Finally, the central steering mechanism means that you can use this great little cleaner into any space without any problems. All in all, the Dyson DC49 vacuum cleaner seems like a fine choice for anyone who wants the convenience of a small, light and quiet machine without losing any power.
