Engadget get up close and personal with the Apple iMac 3.06GHz

I was reading over at engadget, those lucky, lucky people have managed to get there hands on the new 3ghz iMac to testdrive. They’ve taken a great selection of photos from the unbox process to booting it up and  managed to some time out to benchmark it against other machines.

The top of the line 24-inch model now has a 3.06GHz processor, 512MB of on board video ram in the form of  NVIDIA GeForce graphics, 2GB of memory, and a 320GB 7200rpm disk for $2,199.  All machines tested were using Leopard.
