With less than a month until one of this year’s most anticipated games, Gears of Wars 3, hits retail stores, Microsoft Studios and Epic Games unleashed the first look at the complete line-up of the game’s multiplayer maps. Gears of War 3 will feature the revamped version of Gridlock, the game’s most popular multiplayer map from the Gears of War and Gears of War 2 games.
On top of the series’ most epic-scale single player campaign yet, Gears of Wars 3 is slated to deliver excellent multiplayer gaming experience with 10 maps based on the campaign mode’s environment, all playable in Versus Multiplayer, Horde and Beast mode.
To welcome new players to the Gears of War universe, the new game will feature a Casual Versus Multiplayer playlist, where players have the option to compete against other players that have the same skill level.
The Gears of Wars 3 multiplayer maps include Checkout, which takes place at an abandoned superstore; Drydock, a shipyard that has loads of undelivered goods and tools; Old Town, a small island town where people sustained themselves with small farms and a steady bounty from the ocean; and Mercy, which was once a town sqwuare filled with people.
Other multiplayer maps include Gridlock, Hotel, Overpass, Sandbar, Trashball and Trenches.
Gears of War 3 will be launched in the UK on September 20. Developed by Epic Games, this Xbox 360 exclusive is now available for pre-order in three editions: Standard (£49.99), Limited (£59.99) and Epic (£99.99). For more details about the game, visit gearsofwar.xbox.com.
