Hardcore gamers might be interested to hear that Gears of War 3 will come in three flavours when it launches on 20th September 2011. Those of you not content with the standard £49.99 game will be able to upgrade to either the limited edition or Epic edition if you like that sort of thing.
Limited edition
The limited edition game will cost £59.99 and comes with some extra goodies for the extra moolah. As well as the game players will receive a replica medal, this was given to Adam Fenix for his services on the Hammer of Dawn. The Octus service medal comes in its own presentation box which you can parade around to your hearts content, the box will also come with an exclusive code which unlocks Adam Fenix in multiplayer mode.
The kit also comes complete with a COG flag and the personal belongings of Adam Fenix including his last will and testament, schematics and family mementos.
Epic Edition
Unsurprisingly the Epic edition costs a lot more, £99.99 to be precise but does come with additional memorabilia. Basically you get all of the above and a limited edition Marcus Fenix statue measuring 28.5 cm tall, 22.5 cm in diameter and weighing in at a hefty 1.7KG. Consumers will also receive a 96 page book entitled The Art and Design of Gears of War by Tom Bissell, five exclusive weapons and additional downloadable content.
