A domain name registered by Activision has been spotted which gives hints that the game-publishing giant is preparing to announce a new James Bond title.
According to Whois, the domain was made on June 24, but has gained attention after twitter user @supererogatory spotted a few variations of the name. Four domain names has been spotted and it looks like Activision is trying to own every website that relates to GoldenEye Reloaded. “GoldenEyeReloaded007.com,” “GoldenEyeReloadedGame.com,” “GoldenEye007Reloaded.com,” and “GoldenEye007GameReloaded.com” were all registered to the game publishing giant, and it is surprising that nobody knows about this recent development.
With the release of GoldenEye 007 on the Nintendo Wii last year, this will become the second time for the Nintendo 64 classic to be updated by Activision. It is rumored that GoldenEye Reloaded will be developed for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but, chances are, it could be developed for the Nintendo Wii U or 3DS.
Will it be a remake of the Wii game or a full reboot of the original Nintendo 64 title? We don’t know it yet. When VideoGamer.com spoke to the company, it seemed that there is a little chance that GoldenEye 007 will be ported to the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360, but they never ruled out the possibility.
Fans will have to wait for the official announcement from Activision regarding news for a new GoldenEye game. Let’s just hope that the publishers push it through.
