Gran Turismo 5 Signature Owners also Suffer Glitches

It seems that it’s not just the standard version of Gran Turismo 5 that has suffered from launch glitches because fans that went the extra mile to buy the GT5 Signature edition are also having problems. The worst thing is it’s with the exclusive content they were supposed to receive such as exclusive cars showing as invalid.

Users have been mobbing the Playstation Forums today complaining that their Signature Edition of GT5 is giving an ‘invalid’ notification when trying to retrieve the five collector’s edition cars. Understandably they are a bit miffed with having such trouble after splashing out £150 for the game.

Sony has yet to comment on the problems with the Signature edition, unlike the loading and slow play glitches that have marred the launch. A patch is due to be released on Saturday 27th November for the loading problems but no known update for Signature owners yet.

Signature owners can at least enjoy the designer metallic case, Branded Mercedes SLS model, GT5 embossed wallet and video content whilst waiting for an update. They can also subtlety  show off to their mates with a branded key ring, coffee table book and even an exclusive drivers guide. It’s still got to be pretty annoying not being able to use the exclusive cars, designs and performance updates.

Have you had any trouble with either GT5 or the Signature edition?

Nope, no problem at all – all 5 appeared after entering the code and have been getting lots of use. 🙂

I love this game. But…to be picky…..the night driving headlight distance is a little bit weak. Id like to be able to see a little bit further down the road. The shadow rendering i think could use some work and also when the smoke engulfs the car…its not up to par with my def of polyphonys standards. And i love the custom music track option. But when im restarting a license test 5 or 6 times, id really rather not hear the same song over and over again even though i turned shuffle on.

I've played every version of Gran Turismo, will not entertain other driving games. Gran Turismo 5 is the best one yet, and also perhaps the worst…

Some graphics are awesome, some are so cheap I wouldn't have seen on them on GT1 on my PS1

It feels like they perfected 80-90 precent of the game the rushed the game out.

Eg: Where is the brake upgrade option?

Why on some tests and circuits do I finish 10-20m shy of the finishing line?

Why do the headlights on my Dodge Ram truck look like they were made of lego?

I waited for a long time for this game, endured the release date set backs, but would happily have waited another 12 months for a perfect game
