HTC has unveiled a new range of accessories for their up and coming HTC Flyer tablet with the most talked about being the optional stylus. The Taiwanese tech giants describe the stylus as a “Battery Powered dual function pen” which they say will increase accuracy and allow the user to create precision work. The specs and idea being this stylus sounds great but we are not sure the £47.99 price tag is fully justified.
Thankfully it is an optional extra and most users will not require such pin point accuracy, we’d imagine power users and those who handwrite notes or create precision drawings on their Flyer would be the only ones wanting a stylus anyway. Other accessories on the official HTC site include a range of new cases and charging cables, all of which seem competitively priced.
The HTC Flyer will be powered by a Qualcomm 1.5 GHz processor and will run Android Gingerbread which many feel could be upgraded to Honeycomb in the near future. The Flyer will also come complete with a 1.3MP front facing camera and a 5mp rear snapper, 32GB of flash storage with Wi-Fi and 3G as standard.
The official release date of the HTC Flyer is the 9th May and will cost consumers £599 at Best Buy. Will you be picking one up next week?
