Earlier today iTunes users would have received a pop up informing them to upgrade their software; the reason? So the predicted iOS 4.3 update could be rolled out mere hours later. So owners of third generation (well of the S variety) iOS devices and above can now either update their devices via iTunes or the Apple site. But why would you want to?
Firstly users will be able to use their iPhone 4 as a personal hot spot, initial reports made it sound as if users could connect 5 Wi-Fi connections but users will be able to connect three devices wirelessly with an additional two via USB or Bluetooth.
Users will also benefit from Nitro Javascript which Apple say will make browsing of Java rich web pages up to twice as fast – sounds good to us. Again there is no flash support but Apple has made no bones about that opting to support HTML 5 technology instead, an updated code that will become mainstream in the future.
Other bits and bobs include multi-touch gesture control and the ability to choose what function the iPad lock switch performs (you can now use it as a mute switch like on the iPhone 4).
Are you satisfied with the upgrade or disappointed and will you be upgrading to iOS 4.3?

It is better in most cases (especially with Apple) to upgrade to the latest iOS to get the maximum benefits from your device. Go for it!
