A patent application could be the clue to some exciting iPad changes on the way for people who want to make their own websites as simply as possible and wherever they want to.
The web designer known as iWeb is a Mac program but Apple has recently put in a patent form which seems to show that the iPad will soon host a version which will “work with gestures”.
No release date is known for the iWeb application on the iPad, or even if it will actually happen at all, but it seems that Apple is serious enough about the possibility of doing it to spend time filing a patent.
iWeb is a fairly simple web design utility which has been around for a while and which will no doubt be well received if it does appear on the iPad and iPad2 at some point in the near future. It comes in the iLife suite on Macs and gives a variety of website templates which only need the user to stick in photos, texts or whatever else they fancy putting on the site.
This wouldn’t be the first Mac element to make the crossover to the iPad, as it would join the likes of Photo Booth and iMovie in this switch.
What do you think of the possibility of creating web pages on your iPad or iPad2?
Does it sound like a good addition to the tablet’s lists of functions and features or is it something you would rather do on a PC anyway?
