The world has been waiting a long, long time for the iPhone 7, doesn’t it seem? Well, the wait is finally almost over.
However, at the time of writing there is still a degree of uncertainty over when exactly the brand new iPhone model will be made available. Different internet sources have quoted the iPhone 7 release date as being either the 16th or the 23rd of September.
What seems clear is that the new Apple phone will unveiled out this month. The first official sighting of the gadget seems set to be on the 7th of September.
The September Apple Event Date
This is when Apple has confirmed that that the September Apple Event will take place. At this event it is likely that the new iPhone will be joined onstage by the iPhone 7 Plus, the Apple Watch 2 and the iOS 10 operating system.
The event will be live streamed and you can be sure that news of the new phone will be all over the internet immediately. It has been suggested that the iPhone 7 will be available for pre-ordering online a couple of days later, on the 9th of September.
The previous leaks and rumours suggest that the new model will feature modestly improved specifications but will have the headphone jack removed from it. Of course, last year Apple confirmed plans to let iPhone owners upgrade to the latest iPhone model every year.
Whichever iPhone 7 release date is finally confirmed, expect big queues outside shops and that morning and maybe early morning opening times from some retailers.
