Is the Xbox 720 to Appear Soon?

With the latest spate of gaming device releases perhaps what the world really needs now is the Xbox 720. Can we expect to see if soon and if so will it be a gaming revolution or just a tarted up Xbox with nothing much new in it?

A lot of rumours are floating around about this machine it seems that the good people at Microsoft are already working on it; an assumption largely founded on job adverts which were posted earlier this year. 2012 is the suggested launch year for the Xbox 720 but other sources suggest that it won’t be available to UK consumers until the following year.

Will It Be Worth the Wait?

So what can we expect from the 720 once we finally get our eager little hands on it? Most analysts except to see a much more powerful Xbox, with some suggesting that it could be up to 10 times more powerful that the original device.

It is also widely reported that the Kinect controller will be an integral part of the new console although it isn’t clear what changes will be incorporated for the new generation machine.

Another interesting development which we can perhaps look forward to is an Xbox cloud gaming service. This certainly seems like a logical step forward for the platform and could open up a lot of exciting new possibilities for us all.

If the rumours about the release date are right then we don’t think that Microsoft will be able to keep things under wraps for much longer (or will want to). Keep your eyes peeled for leaks and more rumours in the coming months.

Do you think the time is right for the launch of the Xbox 720 or should Microsoft hold off a bit longer before bringing the world this latest generation of the device?

Highly doubt this rumour is true, more like a practical joke. Also I don't. Believe they would
Use the exact same logo as current, as seen in the 'real steel' trailer the logo looks exactly how it
    Is now…boring?
