Harry Potter mania is hitting the UK, the latest Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows film is in cinemas and there is a brand new Lego Harry Potter available for the iPhone and iPad in the Apple app store for £2.99 ($4.99 US). The game focuses on the first four years at Hogwarts with action from inside the walls benefitting from immense detailing that competes at the highest level with other Lego based games.
The story mode features 40 levels with over 100 unlockable characters; players must complete puzzles, cast spells, mix potions, play quidditch and fly around on broomsticks whilst they navigate their way through the game.
The graphics are beautiful and make full use of the iPhone’s capabilities, at the moment the game can only be played on the iPhone or iPod touch – we can’t wait until we can play it on the large screen, unfortunately users have to wait for iOS 4.2 before it will work on the iPad – another reason why we want 4.2 asap.
Over the next few days and weeks Harry Potter will be talk of the town and this app should be at the top of any fans app shopping list, we will be giving the game a good play and post a full review later in the week.
