Following the announcement of the delayed release of the Star Wars Xbox 360, Microsoft has announced the upcoming release of another dedicated Xbox 360 console: the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 limited edition console.
Microsoft revealed the new limited edition Xbox 360 at the Call of Duty XP event in Los Angeles. Designed by Microsoft, Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games, the console is given a new paint job and customized sounds. The limited MW3 Xbox 360 will have a Modern Warfare 3 skin and will boast a 320 GB hard disk drive. It will come with two customized controllers, a copy of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 game and a free Xbox Live GOLD subscription for a month.
The bundle also comes with exclusive downloadable avatars and the console will have a customized sound when it is turned on and when the eject button is pressed.
The limited edition MW3 Xbox 360 console will be officially released on November 8 in the United States, Europe, Canada, Australia, Mexico, the Middle East and New Zealand, and will retail for about $399 (around £250). It is a lot of money, but if you are a hardcore Call of Duty fan looking to buy an Xbox 360, this bundle is a good start.
It was also announced that a Call of Duty Bluetooth headset will be sold alongside the bundle. The Bluetooth headset, which hooks to your ear while playing, can also be used for normal Bluetooth headset purposes. The Call of Duty MW3 Wireless controller and Bluetooth headset will be released ahead of the console’s launch, on October 11.
