For the sake of giving gamers the “ultimate gaming advantage,” gaming peripheral maker iControl has announced the release of its N-Control Avenger accessory for the PlayStation 3. The company claims it to be the most sophisticated weapon in the gaming industry.

The N-Control Avenger was first showcased on the Xbox 360 this year and it has received positive reviews. Products like these are often discarded by gamers as they are unneeded or a bit gimmicky, but it seems that this accessory can be really beneficial to first person shooting games like Call of Duty and Halo.

The Avenger is actually an adapter that can be clipped onto the PlayStation 3 controller to enhance the gameplay experience. Nine functions can be performed at one time on the controller. The product offers a stabilizer hand, analog sticks and hair triggers, which can be dialed in and adjusted to the player’s needs.

“It enhances the gamer’s manual dexterity and situational awareness by improving accuracy and reaction time,” said David Kotkin, N-Control Avenger’s lead designer, in a statement. “This sophisticated accessory is specially engineered for those who want to push their gaming abilities to new heights.”

iControl said that the Avenger can help out with games like Madden NFL 2012, Battlefield 3, Killzone 2, Resistance 3, Gears of War 3 and many more, but are focusing on Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

iControl’s N-Control Avenger is now available for pre-order and its release date will coincide with that of Activision’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
