The Sony Playstation Phone is still very much early days; the only sightings we have seen of the fabled device have been from third parties. There have been photos, videos and rumours all of which have not been confirmed by Sony – that hasn’t stopped suggestions that network providers have already signed a deal to supply the handset.
The mobile conglomerate Everything Everywhere has apparently penned a deal and will roll out the Sony Playstation Phone AKA Zeus Z1 on their Orange network, the rumour posted on mobiletoday made no mention of T-mobile being a carrier of the phone. Neither Sony nor Everything Everywhere would confirm the rumours and ‘would not comment on rumours and speculation’.
The phone is hotly tipped to make an official appearance at the Mobile World Conference this February setting the phone up for an April release date. The PSP phone is expected to run the latest Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, will be powered by 1GHz processor and include an 8 megapixel camera.
So what do you make of the rumours? Will Sony tie themselves to just one provider?
I want one, NOW!
