Peugeot RC Z to go into production

April 25, 2008

Evo News are reporting that Peugeot’s RC Z will make it into production After several months of industry speculation, a Peugeot propaganda agent said “the company’s take on the Audi TT idea, is to enter production this year”. The production version is expected to make its début at October’s Paris motor show.

evo.co.uk’s sources say ‘We knew it couldn’t be a no, so that means it has to be a yes, We’ll make an announcement in the next few days’. When the car does eventually go into production and finally makes it to the sales floor, it will require changes and refinements to make the concept a reality. The changes could include all-steel body, a glass rear window, covered-in interior pillars able to incorporate airbags.

The super slim and sexy shape will stay the same, as will the carbonfibre roof and the 218bhp tune of the PSA/BMW 1.6-litre turbo engine. Pricing is exepected to be less then ‘premium’ rivals like the TT.

It does look quite futuristic, I like the curved front on the Peugeots. That’s quite a lot of horsepower to, I wonder what it will cost?

I like the look of the sloping pillars, can’t wait to see one in the flesh.

If you changed those alloys it would look slick!

Got something to say?
