There´s an App That Goes With It
It is called Rainbow Kids and the target market consists of kids aged between 8 and 14 years old. The toothbrush works using a gyroscope and accelerator, while there is also a smartphone app that can be used to collect and share tooth brushing data.
The app works by telling the user of their parents which teeth they need to pay most attention to in order to complete the brushing well and keep all of the teeth clean and healthy.
To make the Rainbow Kids brush more attractive to youngsters there is also a game that should help the kids to brush their teeth more effectively as well add a bit more fun to this daily activity.
The product is made by a company called Vigilant and is just one of a string of health related products on display at this year´s CES event in Las Vegas. Among the other new gadgets to be shown off are smart toothbrushes like this but that are aimed at adults.
