Samsung Galaxy Tab to Hit 2010 Sales Target Mid December

The Samsung Galaxy tab has been on the open market for nearly a month selling an impressive 600,000 units globally according to The Korea Herald. The data should be pretty accurate too when you consider it was sourced directly from Samsung themselves.

The data has been collected from all of the 30 countries where the tab is on sale. Samsung originally set a target of 1 million units to be sold before the end of 2010, which they are clearly going to smash.

Samsung predict that this will just be the start for their Apple iPad challenging tablet, Samsung mobile chief Shin Jong-kyun thinks 2011 will be a big year, he said “We believe tablet PCs will take over a bigger portion of the market next year”

This might be a more difficult task than they first thought, especially when you consider Apple has sold 7.5 million iPads since launch and will enjoy a rejuvenated interest after yesterdays introduction of iOS 4.2.

Do you or anyone you know own a Samsung tab? Do you think it is better than the iPad?
