If you are a fan of sports, films or tv in general then a HD tv is essential. Once you have considered the size of the space you want to use the room in you can begin to go on the hunt. If you have the room you may opt for a 50 inch model, let’s face it this would make you the envy of all your mates and the hub for the world cup this summer too. We have found an amazing model that delivers the size, the specification and all for a reasonable price. The Samsung PS50C450B 50 Inch plasma is available for an amazing £599 with free delivery.
Samsung PS50C450B Review
This tv is a real thing of beauty and would look great in any home (so long as you have the room). The body of the tv is 69.5 mm thick, which although is not the thinest tv around is pretty slim for a tv of this size. If you are using it on a stand you will only need 284 mm to accomodate the stand which is well designed and suits the tv well. When you turn it on the visual experience gets even better.
The plasma technology means the PS50450B harnesses 600 hz technology. The pixel refresh rate is 0.001 ms which ensures the contours and lines of images and text run fluidly without motion blur. This makes it the ideal tv for fast action sports or video games – world cup here we come. The tv comes equipped with three HDMI ports which means you can hook up your sky HD box and HD console of choice and still have a slot spare for cameras and other input devices.
The sound is delivered by a pair of 10 watt speakers which stood up quite well in our review. They would definitely do the job but to top things off you can easily hook the tv up to surround sound system through a variety of connections. The inbuilt DVB tuner was very easy to set up and easy to use.
