Gamers everywhere, rejoice!

Today marks the start of Steam’s Autumn sale, giving gamers reduced prices on hundreds of downloadable games, as well as bigger reductions on its daily deals.

As the company never misses every opportunity to give out discounts on Steam, the company has announced a five-day Thanksgiving sale. Now, the gaming service gives out huge discounts to a number of popular games and back catalogs.

The highlights of today’s deal includes the very popular Portal 2 for £6.79 ($10.19), Mass Effect 2 for £4.99 ($4.99 in the US), and Duke Nukem Forever for £5.09 ($6.79).

Aside from these daily deals, Steam offers the catalog deals from a number of publishers. 2K Games and Rockstar Games have cut 33 percent off on some of its game titles. The price cut did not include the newly released LA Noire, though. Other publishers that offer price cuts are Ubisoft, Warner Bros and Square Enix. Too bad some big name titles like Assassin’s Creed: Revelations and Deus Ex: Human Revolutions are not included.

Codemasters, EA, Bethesda and THQ are a bit more generous in giving out price cuts, offering 50 percent off on most of their games.

Here are today’s Steam daily deals:
