The official network of the Carphone Warehouse, Talkmobile has released a variety of ‘unlimited data’ packages that run alongside their calls and text packages. The tariffs are being touted as unlimited with the slogan “Never pay for the internet”. Sounds pretty good to us.
The deals are pretty competitively priced to with £12 getting you 200 minutes, 200 texts and of course unlimited data. For this small monthly outlay users can choose from the HTC Wildfire, Sony Ericsson X8 or Samsung Galaxy Mini. If you stump up for the £30 contract you can choose from the brand new Sony Xperia Play, HTC Incredible S or Nokia N8 with 750 minutes and 1500 texts per month.
Like many other network providers there is some small print to keep an eye out for, notably “there is no limit on mobile internet usage on contracts which include ‘Unlimited’ data access”.
Mark Eastham, Trading Director of The Carphone Warehouse, said “The Talkmobile ‘Never Pay for the Internet’ demonstrates fantastic value and is unbeatable in the market. We wanted to offer customers a catch-free data tariff and we’re really looking forward to seeing the results of this trial. There’s no small print or fair usage policy so when we say unlimited internet access we really mean it. There’s a range of tariffs to suit all budgets and an impressive range of 30 smartphones to choose from when taking out a contract.”
The whole network is actually backed by Vodafone and promises 99.7 coverage. For more details or to pick up a new phone on Talkmobile visit the official site.
