With the 21st of March now confirmed as the date of the upcoming Apple March event, the rumours around what is to be revealed have really started to swirl.

Most analysts now think that a budget iPhone will be among the goodies on display in the San Francisco event. In fact, many have gone as far as to suggest that it will be launched under the name of iPhone SE.

This is believed to be a smaller model of iPhone, with a 4 inch screen and the same curved glass, smooth sides we have seen on recent models from Apple. It could also feature the new Apple Pay NFC chip in it too. The front camera is rumoured to be of the 12MP variety, while the rear camera will be 5MP according to some sources.

A Tempting Price?

The asking price is looking to be somewhere in the region of £300 to £400. While this is still a decent wedge of cash, it is possibly low enough to entice some people to buy their first ever iPhone. The iPhone SE could also be seen as an important tool in Apple’s push to make more money from emerging markets in the future.

The new model of iPhone could go on sale as soon as the 25th of the month, just a few days after it is revealed to the world. Expect to see the usual colours that we have seen on recent models; space grey, gold, silver and rose gold.

Will you be interested in the iPhone SE or do you think they should stick to more expensive gadgets?
