A new name has appeared on the UK mobile phones market, almost completely out of the blue.

Wileyfox is a new British phone manufacturer that has popped out of seemingly nowhere with a couple of affordably prices mobiles; the Swift and the Storm.

The Wileyfox Swift

The Swift is the cheaper of the two models, as it costs £129. The design isn’t exactly stunning but it is decent enough for the low price charged. It also has a bright display, although the camera isn’t all that great. It is the kind of budget phone that does everything to an acceptable standard and is unlikely to ever let you down. It has a 5 inch screen and does a good job of being easy to read.

The Wileyfox Storm

The Storm comes in with a price tag of £199. However, first impressions suggest that the £70 extra is well worth paying for a far more impressive phone. It certainly looks better than the Swift, but it is let down by a poor camera and disappointing battery life. The initial good impression made by its looks fades rather too quickly, leaving the Swift as possibly the best option from Wileyfox. In this case, the screen measures 5.5 inches and it gives a better, clearer display than its sibling.

Both of these phones come with the Cyanogen operating system. This is a customised version of Android that uses Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. It offers a number of extra on top of usual Android experience, such as LiveDisplay, a themes app and an app drawer.
