I’m wavering between this and a comparably priced Asus laptop. I don’t need huge capabilities from it – just enough to let me work in the back garden sometimes on a nice day. I’d like to find an in-depth review of this laptop but can’t seem to. This makes me wonder if it’s a model specially-made for Dixons.

    Hello there,

I purchased this laptop a few days ago from PC World and it has been absolutely fantastic! I have had no problem, everything works perfectly. The large screen is great and it’s built reasonably well. Everything I would expect from Toshiba and at £399.99 that’s a steal!

    Go for it!
This student did and isn’t regretting it!

Go and get one while there’s still some left.I got one yesterday and I am totally pleased with it. I have a 3.4Hz 1GB desktop with £300 (2 years ago) graphics acard. This is 40% faster at vdeo editing with Vegas 8.0 and even plays Microsoft Flight Sim X at a very resonable rate.

I also purchased this last night & very impressed so far. Im used to IBM Thinkpads for work which I enjoy using but this for the price I dont think you can go far wrong.

This does not have a memory card reader which is unfortunate but hey-ho they are cheap enough to add via usb.

Its such a strange feeling now working on a big widescreen the actual work area is so vast, theres a lot of cursor moving 😉
