If you are a workout bum who is looking for the perfect gadget to bring with you when you run, the VEA Sportive training watch is what you’ve been looking for. VEA’s Sportive does not only pack tracking, altitude, calorie and heart rate counters, it also has basic mobile phone functions like calling, photo capturing and MP3 playback. It is like the swiss army knife of watches, except its much more expensive.
The Sportive watch, which was designed by French company VEO, sports a 1.5 inch touch screen that shows the time and your workout information. The device also has 8 GB of internal storage for you to store your MP3 files (of course, a workout isn’t fun without music to boost your energy).
The watch is also capable of taking photos while on the run, and lets you trade music and media files via Bluetooth.
The watch also has basic mobile phone functionality, which makes it a wearable feature phone with additional specs. By using a Bluetooth headset, you can make and receive phone calls using this bad boy.
Another useful function of this training watch is its “SOS feature” that enables you to call for help in case you need immediate help while you run. The device can also help the rescue guys by giving them your vital signs.
The VEA Sportive training watch will be released on July 14 for an introductory price of £360. The price will jump to a whopping £450 in September.
