Nintendo has announced that the Wii 2 will be unveiled at E3 next month, we knew that two weeks ago but didn’t expect a video to emerge outing the device prematurely.
The undercover Wii 2, AKA Project Cafe, has been demonstrated to a select few. One of which decided to take a covert video and post immediately post it on YouTube for the whole world to see. At the beginning on the video a slide shows a new controller with a form factor similar to a N64 controller, the difference being it is white and has a large screen embedded in the centre.
If this video is legitimate then it supports an earlier rumour which predicted the Wii 2 controller would come equipped with a screen, sadly no indication of what it will be used for was given.
The video also shows a new form factor for the console which seems to be made of metal and have curved edges. At this stage no comment has been made by Nintendo to confirm or deny whether it was a Wii 2 in the video.
