Apple’s World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC 2011) is just a couple of weeks away and rumours have been gathering momentum for the last couple of months. The blogosphere has been taking snippets of information to predict what we will actually see there. Initially the official invitation to the conference read ‘join us for a preview of the future of iOS and OSx’, which led people to think the event would simply showcase new software. Not so says Mac rumors as they reveal bloggers have been invited to WWDC by the dedicated iPhone PR team.
“Apple seems to be quietly inviting overseas journalists to the 2011 Worldwide Developer’s Conference (WWDC) Keynote.” Which is the first time UK and Australian journalists and bloggers have been invited to the event and in usual covert style it has been left to the last minute in a bid to stop the news leaking out (which has clearly failed).
If this fresh speculation is true it could mean we could see the new Apple iPhone 5, AKA iPhone 4S, on June 6th which would arguably place the release date mere weeks away, not months as many other sources have suggested. Why? Well, there is no way Apple would showcase a product and then make people wait four months for it (White iPhone 4 aside).
Although Steve Jobs is currently on leave we’d predict he will be there to show off the new device, or at least something new on June 6th. Many felt he wouldn’t make an appearance for the iPad 2 launch event but did and since then has been seen during various PR events including a dinner with the president and fellow tech leaders.
Would you like to see the iPhone 5 in June and do you feel Steve Jobs should be the man to unveil it?
I would love to see the new iphone. It will be a disappointment if there is no iphone this summer.

My birthday is June 6th and I am really looking forward to the new iPhone as are many other people for a new phone this summer! I am so glad it came to Verizon!

I'm waiting to see what apple will do. They are going to have to "bring it" if they are going to beat out the new Droid Charge. And I also think we will see the iPhone 5 this summer.
Hope they show the iPhone 5, in not some minor upgrade for the iPhone 4 I'm so ready for the new technology!!!

when is iphone 5 coming out?
We will find that on July 6 at the conference of WWDC. But I am certain the iPhone 5 will be out next year. First, it will come iPhone 4S and then iPhone 5.
I am upgrading. If the iPhone5 doesn't come out in June, I'm going Droid.
