Will You Add the Firefox OS to Your Android Phone?

If you feel the need to freshen up your Android device then what about adding the latest Firefox OS from Mozilla to it? Ok, but won’t it be horribly complicated to do this?

The truth is that it is now really simple to try this out, at least if you are happy to use a new preview of the OS designed for developers and inquisitive Android users.

Downloading the app lets you get a new home screen and it doesn’t need you to wipe the device before you do so. You need to install it and you will then see it on the screen as an app. By pressing this app the Android device will be instantly transformed in a Firefox OS device.

Getting More Developers Involved

The idea behind this move is that the people at Mozilla want more developers to get involved with their growing operating system and help it to become more popular. They also want to see more people get a glimpse of what it offers.

Among the advantages said to be offered by this OS is the fact that you can scroll continuously through the home screen, instead of having multiple home screens. There is also the fact that there is a search bar at the top of the home page that allows internet searches without having to open an explorer. The official Mozilla site also says that you can also swipe the edge of your device’s screen in order to cycle through all of the apps that you have used recently.

Do you feel that it is time to freshen up your phone with a new OS?
