On Friday 25th March Apple released the iPad 2 in the UK and 24 other countries around the world. We attended the Bristol launch event where approximately 300 people queued to wait patiently from 1PM onwards. By 5PM the queue stretched way past the allotted space and around the corner, the guys from Apple did a whacky lap of honour before finally opening the doors at 5pm. After a couple of hours we were in the store, clapped and cheered by the staff – within in a few minutes we had purchased and left the store, iPad 2 in hand to race home to record our unboxing video.
