Apple may be absent from the Mobile World Congress but that hasn’t stopped a fair few rumours circulating around their upcoming iOS 4.3, iPad 2 and of course iPhone 5. The latter has received fresh speculation today as sources say the iPhone 5 will have a larger screen than the current model.
These fresh reports quash rumours that suggested an iPhone mini is in the pipeline, the sources are apparently part of the manufacturing process which if true makes their claims believable. They say that Apple will make a half an inch increase to the screen size from 3.5 inches to 4 inches to bring it inline with other Smartphone competitors.
If this is true it would mean major headaches for app developers who would have to make changes to their apps so they worked on all versions of the iPhone, this would be a major burden but I wouldn’t rule out the possibility of a larger screen on this basis alone.
Do you think Apple needs to increase the screen size of the iPhone?
