The 400MHz processor isn’t going to break any records, at least not in a good way, and it also features a jaw dropping 128MB RAM and 1GB of flash storage. In order to keep costs down as far as possible, the Impulse NPX-9000 will run the Linux operating system and will presumably offer open source office software (such as Open Office).
It does, however, include an SD card slot, a VGA port, and three USB ports for connectivity. It also has a mini USB port and a USB based LAN Connection. Alternatively, you can choose the optional WiFi dongle to go wireless.
OK, so the spec really is pretty poor, but the Carapelli machine is less expensive than most prepaid mobile phones so you’re not really in a position to criticize it for having a poor processor.
