If this prototype actually comes into fruition it will mean mobile phone battery life will be massively increased – this is great news as gadgets are becoming more and more power hungry. The new Nokia N96 has been revealed as the replacement of the Nokia N95 (My poor old N95 will have to go). The phone was revealed at the Mobile World Congress 2008 with a list of the latest features. It features the N96 sports GPS, an accelerometer, 16GB of media storage, a 5 Mega Pixel camera, DVD-quality video, a 2.8-inch QVGA screen, Wi-Fi, and a handy kickstand for desktop viewing. The guys over at Sonim insist that they have built a phone that can withstand the riggours of the hardest environments and they have been putting it to the test with various activities that are currently being shown on you tube. The phone is water proof, dust proof, shock proof and can withstand extremes of temperature.
