It may just be me, but GPS isn’t something I can really get excited about. If it works well then you don’t get unnecessarily irritated by the incessant and patronising instructional voice. You also manage to find your way to your chosen destination without panicked instructions informing you to get back on the road (the M6 toll road is one such example – my GPS couldn’t cope with it adequately for some time and seemed genuinely irked that I was driving through farmland!). HP have gone some way to remedy this lack of...

As an Internet nerd I spend quite a lot of time sat on my backside on my computer. The unfortunate result is that I do not get a great deal of exercise and have put on a few pounds! As the summer has finally arrived (sort of) I thought I would get myself a new bike and get back in the saddle. I used to go cross country riding and have been known to thrash my bike through my local woods and hills so I knew a good mountain bike was the only way to go.  The model of choice was the Merida matts 850-D and I have been thouroughly testing it...

Evo News are reporting that Peugeot’s RC Z will make it into production After several months of industry speculation, a Peugeot propaganda agent said “the company’s take on the Audi TT idea, is to enter production this year”. When the car does eventually go...

Have you ever had your bike stolen, or known someone that has? It really annoys me and I want those suckers to pay! Well I have found a gadget that will do the next best thing – it will stop thief’s in their tracks. Unlike conventional locks these little babies are based on real life police handcuffs and they are just as hard to break, which is the whole point I guess. Here is what firebox said about them: Thanks to a hardened pivot link, wannabe crooks can’t use leverage to defeat the cuffs. What’s more, the heat-treated,...

I live in Bristol in the UK and regularly drive past the rotting Concorde at Filton and think ‘what a waste’. The Concorde was the jewel in crown of passenger carrying aircraft for many years and it will be sorely missed – or will it? A new supersonic jet has been designed by a team from Oxfordshire called reaction engines. It has been estimated that the Reaction Engines A2 aircraft could transport passengers to Australia in under 5 hours at an estimated cruise speed of 3,800 miles per hour. That is twice the speed of...
