Facebook Has Crashed What Should We Do

Posted on Sep 23 2010 - 7:30pm by Richard Sharp

On Thursday 23rd September 2010 the popular social networking site with the famous F crashed. Facebook users the world over were in panic, was it just their facebook page? Was it worldwide? We had the same questions and according to other live sources like twitter it did seem pretty widespread.

Facebook even used their rival Twitter to announce that the problem was due to “an issue with a third-party network provider.” I think it’s brilliant that they used social networking to announce that their social network was down, I guess it proves the social networking system works.

What do you do when Facebook wigs out?

Some twitter users even threw in some funny accusations of site owner Mark Zuckerberg,@someecards: It seems Facebook is down and Zuckerberg won’t bring it back up unless we promise not to see the movie.

And @kongtemplation said: I hear facebook is down and the first thing i do is try to go to facebook. does that make sense?

With such widespread panic, anger and comedy we thought we would start a post to ask for the funniest answer to:

What can you do with your spare time if facebook crashes?

So please tell the world how they can cope with a facebook outage as they seem pretty common place this week.

I jumped straight on Twitter, there is nothing like a bit of procrastination. I should have used it as an excuse to do something productive lol

Love the comment about Zuckerberg, I rekon he was holding us to ransom. All seriousness, it was pretty annoying

When facebook crashes you should rejoice and spend the minutes of freedom getting a bit of fresh air. Or if you feel the need write status updates on post it notes and run through a shopping mall posting updates about your life. This could also work in the office but then your boss will definetely know you are social networking.
