They couldn’t be much more polar in their game play and content, but Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days has overtaken Toy Story 3 to hit the top spot for all platforms in its debut week.
The game is number 1 for both the XBox 360 and the PS3 while Super Mario Galaxy 2 remains top for the Nintendo Wii. Last week’s new entry Madden 11 has slipped while the Nintendo’s only new entry this week, We Sing: Encore, has only managed to reach number 6.
XBox 360
Last week’s top and second place have both been pushed down a place as debut Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days takes the top spot. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 has risen 2 places back into the top 5 at number 4 and Madden NFL 11 has slipped 2 places from 3rd to 5th.

Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days has also taken the top spot on the PS3 while last week’s number 1, Red Dead Redemption has falled to second spot. Toy Story 3 remains in 3rd place while Battlefield: Bad Company 2 has risen 1 spot to number 4. Modern Warfare 2, enjoying its 41st week in the charts, is at number 5.

Wii
With no Wii version of Kane & Lynch available, the top spot is retained once again by Super Mario Galaxy 2 while 2nd place goes to New Super Mario Brothers Wii. Toy Story 3 is in 3rd while the long serving Mario Kart Wii, in its 124th week in the Wii charts, has risen one place to 4th and in 5th is LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4. There is a new entry in the charts; We Sing: Encore just missing out on a top 5 finish in 6th but worthy of an honourable mention.
