How do you stop rowdy teens egging your house or causing general mischief on Halloween? You could lock them in, tie them up, or hide their shoes so they can’t go out or you could take set up a FIFA 12 tournament in your local area.

The Hertfordshire Constabulary has done just that and has invited locals from Welwyn Garden City and Hatfield to an epic event which will host a FIFA 12 tournament on a 35 foot screen.

PCSO Jean-Pierre Jacquet explained, “We visited schools in Welwyn Hatfield and spoke to young people who said they wanted this kind of event.  We thought it made sense to set it up on Halloween to give young people a choice on how they spend Monday October 31st.”

The experience won’t just be limited to a 35 foot screen either, as the organizers have set up various gaming stations and a 2000 watt sound system to blow the tricks right out of the players hair.

The event will also include other titles such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, so fans of first person shooters can show off their skills in a bid to win some prizes.

People which are planning to attend must fill out a flyer at the local Game or Gamestation before they attend. It’s sure to be a great event and one which should keep a fair few bored teens off the streets.

Do you think more events like this should be arranged?
