We already know by now that mobile phones are very important to most people these days. However, a new survey has revealed just how much men love them. The answer is that they love them a lot. Sometimes more than should probably be admitted to the wider world.
The survey by the mobile gaming site Mobile Slots found that close to 1 in 5 single men would choose to have an iPhone 6 instead of a girlfriend. In total, 17% of the men who took part in the research said that they would choose this brand new phone over a woman if they had the choice.
2% Would Leave Their Partners for a Phone
The results also showed that 2% of the men who have girlfriends would leave them if they thought that this would result in them getting a new iPhone. Quite how this would work we aren’t sure but the fact that some people would even consider it is rather concerning.
Equally worrying is the fact that 3% of the 600 guys surveyed said that they felt closer to their phone than to their partner. Presumably this is due to the time they spend together, although it seems as though many people also build a real relationship with their phones.
Some good news to come out of the survey was that over a quarter of the men who took part revealed that they have met either their current girlfriend or a previous one with a mobile app. It seems that it is still possible to love your mobile device and have a human partner as well.
