It seems that if you want to keep something a secret then it’s probably best not to let the Germans know about it.
First a German blogger speculated that the iPad 2 would launch on the 9th March, then a German TV channel leaked news of Angry Birds 2 and now Vodafone Germany seem to have ousted the HTC Desire 2 before its official unveiling at the Mobile World Congress.
Before today the second generation Desire was a rumour, a well versed one admittedly, which has now been all but confirmed as the Smartphone showed up on the inventory list on Vodafone Germany’s website.
If past rumours are true then we can expect to see the HTC Desire 2 and HTC Pyramid mobile phones at next weeks show in Barcelona, today’s slip up is supported by a recent sighting of the HTC Desire 2 filmed in Taiwan where HTC is based.
HTC is expected to pack in a dual core processor, twin cameras but not much else is known and for solid details we will have to wait for the official press event at MWC – that probably won’t stop more rumours coming to light on the run up to the 14th to 17th February.
