Apple is expected to announce the release date of the iPhone 5 soon, and we’ve all heard that the company will be releasing two new iPhone models at the same time. Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen our share of accessory leaks, but they are usually from unknown brands from China. Also, Case-mate leaked an iPhone 5 accessory on its website, which was quickly shut down. Now, an iPhone case from accessory maker Otterbox joins in on the fun, with the surfacing of an “iPhone 4S” case.
Unfortunately, the case is not present with the packaging, but the box gives us a decent depiction of what we will get when the phone finally arrives. The case shows a case for the iPhone 4, but the difference is the volume rockers appear to have been placed on the opposite side, just above the SIM tray. Apple is said to move the volume controls to the other side because a new feature of the iOS 5 enables users to use the volume buttons as the camera shutter key.
BGR reported that an iPhone 4S case carrying the Speck and Otterbox branding have been spotted at an AT&T store and was picked up by Chronic Wire, a rumor man from Twitter. According to MacStories, Chronic Wire has been successful in providing Apple leaks in the past.
The iPhone 4S and the iPhone 4 cases look identical when placed side-by-side, one difference is the size of the camera hole, but this has been dismissed as just a design improvement.
Now, people are wondering that if the Otterbox iPhone 4S case is real, are we going to get a refreshed iPhone 4, or are we going to see Apple release both the iPhone 4S and the iPhone 5?
